Born in Alabama and raised all over, due to being a military dependent, I now reside in the heartland of Kentucky. I have raised 3 of my children and I am now a Nana to my granddaughter, Ilyanna.
After 21 years of marriage I divorced and 2 years later remarried. I met my husband, LeGrande, on a dating site for members of our church. I wanted to date men who had the same faith as I. Having a marriage that would be divided on Sundays was not what I wanted. We met and married 3 weeks later on June 9, 2012. 2017 will be 5 years. With this marriage I became a bonus mom to 2 more children, which live with us full time. His first born is on her own with children, married to a man in the military and has her own business called Sawyer and Birch, named after one of the twins she lost while pregnant. Our family pet is what we have found SuzieQ, a toy Yorkshire Terrier, whom I absolutely adore.
Career wise, I am Master stylist/Owner of BeYoutiful Hair Studio. I love being home in my studio, helping others feel pampered and better about themselves. Spiritual wise, I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My calling, as of today, is the Assistant Secretary for Relief Society (a woman's organization where charity never faileth). I have been a member since May 12th, 2012. It is the truth, as told by Jesus Christ in the New Testament, of how His church should be in these latter-days. It is all about Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. We do have a Prophet in these latter-days and his name is Thomas S. Monson. A kind, gentle and loving man, he leads our church through the divine inspiration of our Lord and Savior.
My hobbies are singing, writing also for my blog Diaries Of A Fruitcake, painting, crafting and anything that keeps our family active. I hope you enjoy this blog and comment to make it a better place. :)
