I am a southern gal from Alabama and I wanted to use this blog to encourage women in helping them be renewed in the Spirit. Like DOAF, I have had "Southern FRITS and Heels" in the back of my head for over 15 years. Once again, having the same illustrator do the logo design. This blog will be a place to heal and come to, to let you know you aren't alone and we can get through any trying time together. We are all sisters in Christ. It will also be about one thing I love...heels. I know it's kind of random but that is the fruitcake in me coming out. :)
About Southern FRITS and Heels
Way back when I got an idea to write a book, I wasn't quite sure what it would be about but I got the name and had the illustration of the title made. Sometimes I do things backward. "Diaries Of A Fruitcake...in a half-baked world" was the name. As I thought about what this book could be about, one of the points I wanted to get across was that the name "fruitcake" would be a positive and not a negative. I was called fruitcake in my younger years, playfully, and I decided to embrace it and through prayer and Heavenly Father's guidance I was encouraged to have a spin-off of the DOAF (Diaries Of A Fruitcake) blog to encourage women and share my love for heels.
