How To Be Renewed

There are many scriptures that I base my title around. The first in Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

This happened to be the first scripture that I memorized when I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ at the age of 26 years old. That "renewing of the mind" really stuck out to me. I totally get how we can be conformed to this world we live in now. The media is the vehicle that drives everyone in the same direction. But to NOT be conformed is taking the road less traveled. We must prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

How do we do this?

By being transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Which is saying to NOT be like the world; trying to keep up with your friends; dying to be skinny like the models in magazines; defining who we are because of the media or others. The world wants us to be selfish. To only think of ourselves and getting ahead in life. The renewing is being selfless and thinking of others and how we can help them, which in turn will help us. By being renewed we will show Heavenly Father's plan of Happiness for all His children.

What can be renewed?

The fruit of the Spirit.  Here is another verse that I base around my title. Galations 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

As you can see "fruit" is not pluralized. People often misquote this scripture by saying the "Fruits of the Spirit". All those adjectives are describing the word, Fruit. Your fruit should be all those things, rolled into one.

You can have this fruit of the Spirit and receive a renewal that brings happiness into your life. The plan of Happiness was laid out for us before we even came to this earth to gain our mortal bodies. This blog is about helping those who need their fruit renewed in the Spirit, find their happiness through the encouragement of others.

I look forward to sharing this part of my writings with you. Please feel free to comment or email me questions that I could share, (names kept secret), to help others that might be needing an answer to help them get through trying times. Or if you would like to leave an encouraging comment or review, that will be wonderful too.

Blessings ~ Thea
