Heels

Every woman has her own favorite style of heels. Mine happen to be made by a short woman of 5'1, also my height, Jessica Simpson! She knows the struggle and designed them to fit with comfort in mind, and help us vertically challenged women.

Let me just say it again: They are SOOOOO very comfortable.

These platform heels you see pictured are the first pair I actually watched, stalked, at Dillards in Clarksville, TN for over 2 months until they were under $90. I bought them and absolutely love wearing them with capri jeans and red painted toes. :)  I have gotten so many compliments on them too.

One year my children pitched together for Christmas to buy me a pair of black, closed toe, JS platform heels that I wear to church almost every Sunday in the winter!

Here on Southern FRITS and Heels, you will see posts of different heels that I think are amazing! If you would like to comment on what your favorite heels are or send me a picture, I will post it in the center with a link back to you, if you are online and want a backlink.

I know...my husband is a PT, DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) and he says a pair of heels are the worse thing for your gait (which is the dynamics of your walk). You will be walking on your toes, changing the arch, basically changing the mechanics from the back down. BUT I have to also say that he loves watching me walk in my heels. There is a sexiness in heels and when a woman walks in them, as if she is wearing tennis shoes, it is truly an art to watch. :)

I have been wearing heels for over 20 years and as I get older, I am noticing that the spiked, thin, high arch, 4-5 inch heels are not the heel I want to wear for long periods of time. That is why I love the platform. The pointy toe heel or another familiar name...STILETTOS, are horrible for the shape of your foot that will eventually cause bunions and your foot will reshape into a morbid looking foot, which might require surgery in the long run.

Did you know back in the day, women use to actually have their pinky toe removed to where those pointy toe/Stiletto heels?  I currently do not own one pair of those pointy shoes!  When you look at the Jessica Simpson heel above, the platform is about 2-2.5 inches high, so really my arch is about 2 to 3 inches. So it is very comfortable to me.

You can find all designs that I post about by going to the search bar, in the top right side column under the logo and put in heels. All posts about heels will be there.

Have fun searching, sharing with me, and reading about my favorite shoe....HEELS!

Blessings ~ Thea
